Retaining object transparency during editing of your drawing.

A - answer You want to have your 3D scene displayed with transparency (translucency) even when zooming, panning, 3dorbiting your drawing in AutoCAD.

Attach (assign) transparent materials to your objects (_Rmat) - e.g. Red Glass, Green Glass. Set your display mode (_Options, System tab, Properties) - check the Render options, Enable lights/textures/materials options. Now set your shade mode to "_ShadeMode Gouraud".
