Q - question

Simple export of vertex-coordinates from a selected polyline.

A - answer With the freeware utility PolyVert you can easily list XYZ coordinates of individual vertices (vertex points) from a selected polyline. All types of polylines are supported - lightweight polylines (LWPOLYLINE), heavyweight polylines (2D POLYLINE) and 3D polylines (3DPOLYLINE).

Download the PolyVert utility from Download, load it with APPLOAD and run it by typing the POLYVERT command.

After you select the polyline, vertex coordinates are listed in the form of:

X1,Y1,Z1
X2,Y2,Z2
...

The exported coordinates can be copied e.g. to Excel or to a CSV file.

Directly in the application code you can change the delimiter type (e.g. to ";"), or the number of decimal places.
