2D drawing documentation - projected views (top, side...) and sections of a 3D solid can be generated in AutoCAD with the standard commands SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW. The procedure is illustrated in a video on the CAD Studio's YouTube channel:

In higher versions of AutoCAD you can also generate documentation of 3D objects with the VIEWBASE command.
