Since version 2011 you can easily place raster images (e.g. snaps, photographs) in the background of your rendered Revit scenes.

In the Rendering dialog, use the Style select box (the Background pane) and choose Image. Then select the background bitmap file (JPG, PNG, GIF...) and modify the size of the image:
