Q - question

Editing selected segments of a polyline.

A - answer AutoCAD 2010 can select subobjects of a given entity by holding the Ctrl key when selecting the entity. With the CTRL key you can e.g. select only some segments of a polyline.

The grips of the selected segments will automatically become hot (selected) grips and you can directly modify these segments (e.g. move) using grip-editing.

Ctrl-select segments

This behaviour is can be suppressed with the LEGACYCTRLPICK variable.
