Error 2337 while installing a CAD application.

A - answer Your AutoCAD or Inventor installation fails with: "Internal Error 2337".

This error is caused by a problem in Windows system components - the problem is typically caused by:

  • Installation attempt on an unsupported operating system
  • Improper installation procedure (e.g. using .MSI instead of SETUP.EXE)
  • Unsupported type of network installation over group policy (GPO)
  • Corrupted installation of .NET Framework
  • Corrupted Windows Installer service
  • Damaged installation media, or the downloaded distribution archive
Before the installation, update your operating system (via Windows Update), install the latest version of .NET Framework (see e.g. Download and restart the installation with SETUP.EXE.
