Q - question

Get center point of a group of selected objects.

A - answer With the freeware utility CenOf (center of) you can quickly get the center point (COG coordinates) of the selected 2D or 3D objects. It handles only bounding boxes of the individual objects, not their exact common center of gravity.

Download the CenOf.lsp file from Download, load it into AutoCAD with APPLOAD and type the CENOF command (or use 'CENOF transparently at any AutoCAD prompt for a point).

Select the objects and this tool returns the center point coordinates (XYZ). If used as a standalone command, it also draws a Point entity at the center point (use PDMODE+PDSIZE to make it more prominent).
