Components in Inventor 2012 assemblies are highlighted in dark red when you move your mouse over them. How to dim this highlighting or make it more transparent?

Go to: Tools > Application options > Colors and uncheck the option "Enable Advanced Highlighting". The individual parts will be highlighted the same way as in the version 2011 and older.
