Q - question

How to disable DirectX 12 in AutoCAD 2022/2023/2024?

A - answer If your graphics card or graphics card driver does not fully support the DirectX 12 (DX12) standard and is causing display problems, you can switch AutoCAD to the older DirectX 11 (DX11) display mode. One of the possible negative effects of DX12 can also be slow mouse movement.

The GFXDX12 system variable is used to make this switch to DX11. Type its name at the AutoCAD command line and set it to 0. Then restart AutoCAD.

Another option is to set the value of the environment variable in Windows - GS_DEVICE - set this variable and assign it the value Dx11 - see also the older Tip 9825 (in Czech).
