Q - question

How to lock layers without changing their color?

A - answer Locked layers are displayed as dimmed by default. If you don't want to change their color, you can change the setting of the LAYLOCKFADECTL variable to 0 (or to a negative value, e.g. -50). Just type it in the command line.
