Q - question

How to split Inventor parts lists to multiple sheets?

A - answer In large assemblies with high number of parts it may be difficult to fit a long parts list on a single drawing sheet. Inventor offers several ways how to solve this.

Besides wrapping the parts list into multiple columns on a single sheet (Split table) you can also repeatedly insert the parts list into multiple sheets and use item filters.

Insert your parts list in the standard way (even if it does not fit) and copy it using Copy/Paste (see context menu) to multiple empty Inventor drawing sheets.

Now double-click on the parts list table on each sheet and in the parts list dialog, click on the Filter icon:

Here choose the filter "Item Number Range" and in the field "Range" enter the requested item range - e.g. 1-100 on the first sheet, 101-200 on the second one, etc. The displayed parts list items will be limited (filtered) to the given range and the number of parts list rows will fit on each and every drawing sheet. The parts list(s) remain associative with the assembly 3D model.
