How to save a .3DS file from Inventor?

A - answer In Autodesk Inventor export your 3D data to a .SAT format file (File - Save copy). Read this file into Mechanical Desktop (a part of Inventor Series) with the _ACISIN command and re-export it with the _3DSOUT command to a 3DS file.
