Q - question

How to delete the base view keeping the dependent views?

A - answer Just delete the main view in your IDW drawing - Inventor displays the Delete View dialog (Do you want to delete view XXX and its dependents?). In this dialog click on the [>>] button and select the dependent views (detail, section, broken, projected...) you want to keep.
