Disabling the "Select other" icon.

If you are disturbed by the green-blue icon "Select other" you can easily switch it off.

In the Tools > Application options menu, go to the General tab and set the Select other time to 0.

If you then need to start this function (with no icon) right-click and choose "Select other" from the context menu.
