Some parts are displayed as dashed in Inventor drawing views.

A - answer A part may be displayed in dashed outline and transparently in an IDW/DWG drawing view if it is set as a Reference part.

Right-click on the part in the assembly browser and select "BOM structure > Normal" (instead of Reference), or use a similar setting in the Properties dialog on the Occurence tab.
