Views, sections and details from Inventor 3D models generated in AutoCAD.

A - answer Since AutoCAD 2012 you can use documentation tools, especially the command VIEWBASE, to generate views from 3D models stored in Inventor part and assembly files (IPT/IAM). Besides projected views you can also generate sections and details. The drawings remain associative with the source 3D models.

Procedures and basic options of this less known tool are illustrated in a video on CAD Studio's YouTube channel:
