    Posted: 06.Mar.2014 at 09:20
Hello all, I added in AutoCad 2006 two variables.

Firstly, constant "$Dim1= 3000"
Secondary, function "ddd=$Dim1-100"

How I can connect line geometry dimension value to function?
Is mean when I change constant automatically update line geometry dimension value.

Thanks
Stanislav

What kind of variables are they? LISP variables?

You can use parametric geometry since AutoCAD version 2010 - you can define any number of parameters and use parametric dimensions (see e.g. DCLINEAR command). Changing the parameter will then change the geometry.

Now that's funny.  The moderator posts a link that is blocked.  You don't see that very often.

Do you see the embedded video as a blocked link? Strange, I am not aware of any blocking.

The blocking must be at my end.  A company thing re: streaming video I believe.  Sorry about that.
