I am having problems with some line in my dwg that don't show up properly in layout view.  In order to get them to show properly in model space I have to scale it to 10 but when I go to layout view I have to change it to .5 in order for the lines to show up properly...Why and how do I change this???

Check this variable : PSLTSCALE.

It is set to 1.  What should it be set to?

Try variable PSLTSCALE - more information in Help.

It should be set to 0
 
Also try VISRETAIN , should be set to 1
 
Remeber to regenerate after these commands.
