I use Autocad 2014 full version, I'm wanting to link certain elements within my cad drawing to PDF's, word docs etc. By clicking on an element in the drawing (say a polyline) it lists a link to Documents that this polyline relates to.

I know I can do this in GIS (which the company I work doant have and won't pay for. So I'm looking for either free software or something that can be bolted onto AutoCAD.
I work within a planning, permitting environment not engineering.
Thanks

Have you tried using a hyperlink?

I know about Hyperlinks already!
I want something that when you hover or select and element a pop up box pops up listing different files. Abit like attributes but not. I've already been told taht a bolt on package what I require will be ÂŁ3k which is good when cad is ÂŁ3k!
It seem GIS is the way forward.
