hi first time post, im trying to extrude a 3 inch metal box section frame. my problem is ,first i draw a rectangle 8' by 4' then i polyline it then offset to inside by 3 inches, polyline again ,then set SE view then select all then extrude it by 3 inches then what happens is everything gets extruded including the space in the middle , please can anyone help , many thanks for any help given

me again this is the drawing im trying to extrude i can pushpull it ok but when i extrude it it just turns out as a flat wide solid , i wnat to extrude it as i will be using an older version of cad at work so want to learn the old way
