Baseview creates two layers called MD_Visible and MD_Hidden.  That is just the way AutoDesk set the command up.  What exactly do you want to do?  Change layer names?  Add layers?  Other?  Be specific.

You do know that just like any other layer you can go into the Layer Properties Manager and change the name of the layer, the linetype and color used, etc. just as you can for any layer you create on your own.

What do you mean by reference items?

CadZ:

It is not good form to hijack a thread by another member that pertains to an entirely different problem.  In the future start a new thread of your own.

You should be creating your new shop drawing based upon a custom template that is already setup with the correct layers, linetypes, lineweights and colors.  Doing it this way saves a lot of time and effort.

Are you printing from model space or from a layout?

Are you using a CTB or STB plot style?

You're printing in color is that correct?

Re: Creating a new thread.

CadZ: How do you expect to get help with a problem if you won't answer questions in a timely manner?

If you have figured it out yourself then fine at least come back and say so.  And tell us what your solution was too as others may benefit from your new knowledge.

Sorry I am in meetings I don't sit at my computer full time; I am working as well; I really don't understand CTB or STB, I am just getting into using cad I am mostly printing from model space and trying to print in black and white. When I have more questions, I will produce my own thread. My apologies to the person whose thread this is I really did not mean to high jack it. I cannot  find the new topic button.
