What file formats are the blocks in? What other file formats can AllPlan "save as" or "export"? That's where you start.

i dont know the formats.
allstar only say Datenart: Symbolkatalog and if i follow part of this katalog i cant find files.... ![]() it can export to: autoCAD IFC Rhino Daten Cinema, 4D/VRML/3DS/U3D put only projekts. so i had to open every block and export to autoCAD and that would take y lot of time. there must be a easier way |

Find out what file formats it can export to AutoCAD. It's got to be either a DWG or DXF.
Unless AllPlan utilizes lisp or scripts I don't see how you could significantly decrease the amount of time it would take to find and export every block in AllPlan that you want. You'll just have to break the process down into manageable chunks and slowly whittle away at it until you have exported every block you want. Would you be using the AllPlan Exchange to export the blocks? Did you check to even see if this was an option? If it isn't then you would have to redraw all the blocks and that would significantly increase the amount of time to bring the blocks into AutoCAD. If you are used to using AutoCAD why did you take a job at a company that runs AllPlan? You must have known in advance what software they were using right? You can export from AllPlan to DWG (for AutoCAD). Please note that some blocks may contain multiple representations (for plan views, elevations, 3D). You may also consider Autodesk's CAD/BIM AEC software - Revit.

You would have to use AllPlan Exchange and export as a DWG. I don't know how the process could be made faster since you are unable to tell us what programming languages AllPlan supports (ex. - .NET, .VBA, lisp, etc.) or if it supports the use of scripts for batch processing. Ask your coworker for the information.
Maybe YOU should switch to AllPlan instead of using AutoCAD. It seems counterproductive/inefficient to have different people using different CAD programs in the same company to do the same thing. Edited by John Connor - 06.Oct.2014 at 16:13 |

Yeah, i dicided to use same as my coworker.
and if some on is intrest, i found a soulution: I have opened all symbols from katalog in one draw and exprot this to AutoCAD. Then I can simply open about DC the single symbols as a block. Apparently do AutoCad automatically to blöcken -this text would be written with translator Programm |
