Autodesk Labs is a process.

Labsflow

Divisions in the company that want to shape some technology based on customer feedback host technology previews on Autodesk Labs. It's very much like the Beta program which is why Autodesk Labs and Autodesk Beta are both hosted on the Autodesk Feedback Community site.

Project Cassidy came to Autodesk Labs via our Design, Lifecycle, and Simulation (DLS) division. This is the team that brings you Inventor, Fusion 360, and a whole host of solutions geared towards the manufacturing industry. Project Cassidy recently won an award for innovation in design.

Way to go team. The JEC Group is the largest composites industry organization in Europe, and one of the largest in the world with a network of 250,000 professionals. If you would like to check out the award winning Project Cassidy for yourself:

Project Cassidy is free and open to the public. All we ask is that you try it and provide feedback. Trying it, liking it, and not telling us is the same as not trying it. Yesterday I posted a build that extends the technology preview to January 6, 2015.

An award ceremony is alive in the lab.
