Hello,

I have the floorplan of a building as a DWG file (AutoCAD). This floorplan should be displayed to a website with all information that include in the dwg file. For example by clicking on a single room, the room size as dialog (jQuery) is output.

Is this possible with DWG files?

I know the DWG file in DXF files can be converted, but it does each room information will be lost.

Another idea would be to recreate the floorplan with "Image Map & Canvas" and to address the individual rooms by “Areas” and where to store the information. But that would be a very Complicated and Complex solution.

Any experiences or suggestions?

There is probably no universal "one box" solution. But you can try Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server - it can read DWG files (plus many other formats) and publish them as a web application, including linked "bubble" information. You may need AutoCAD Map 3D industry models for deeper customization of displayed textual information on the generated website.

I don't know if this exactly what you are looking for, but DWG Browser can take drawings and export them as HTML with preview images.

You can also try PUBLISHTOWEB and the embed functionality in AutoCAD 360 (resp. A360) cloud service.
