I wish to change from absolute to relative coordinates
upon right clicking over the coordinate  numbers in the lower  left
the box with relative , absolute and off  appears
I am able to change between absolute and off but not relative
the relative option  looks  grayed  out
How do I activate relative coordinates for measuring?

Is COORDS set to a value of 2?  If so then it means.....

Relative polar coordinates - When you are specifying a point, distance, or an angle.

Absolute coordinates - At all other times.
