I am trying to convert to XGP files instead of using the old menu drop downs any ideas on how to create XGP files example for bringing in CAD blocks electrical and mechanical symbols.

Your trying to import toolpalettes is that correct?  What version were they created in?  What version are you trying to import them into?

Instructions for importing toolpalettes in AutoCAD....

No im trying to create a XGP file  or convert cui file so I can use them on tool pallets as classic mode will finish in the new versions of cad

Classic mode?  Forget that.

The article by Ellen Finkelstein covers how to create a XPG file.  Follow the instructions.
