When i upgrade from windows 8 to windows 8.1 or windows 10, AutoCAD lt13 does not work. In the installation, Microsoft visual C++ 2008 is installed, and i think this is the problem.

If i install AutoCAD LT13 on af windows 8.1 machine (which is "born" as 8.1), Microsoft visual C++ 2008 is NOT installed. And it works fine.

Does anyone know, how to fix this problem ? If that is the problem......

I have tried to remove C++ 2008 after installing LT13 on a windows 8. But this doesnt. work.

Thanks in advance :-)

AutoCAD LT 2013 is compatible with Win8 since the LT2013 Service Pack 2. No version is yet compatible with Win10.

Some users have reported successfully implementing AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT on a computer running Win10.  Your best bet is to head on over to the AutoDesk Discussion Forums to obtain further information.

Since you are only running LT and not full AutoCAD all you need is 2D capability.  You could try downloading and installing the 2D CAD program called Draftsight available from Dassault Systemes the makers of Solidworks.  It is a FREE AutoCAD-clone available in both 32-bit and 64-bit.  You might have better luck although there are no guarantees when one tries to run any program in a beta version of an OS.
