AutoCad 2012-using classic-when I go to file-open it use to let me search all my file to open a dwg. Now in the command line it is asking to specify a dwg. name. The open will not work
Help?

More info. Now it is locking the program and will not close.

The first problem can be fixed by changing the system variable FILEDIA.

The second problem is not related to the first.  Maybe it is a momentary glitch.  Ctl-Alt-Del to bring up Task Manager.  Kill off AutoCAD.  Restart AutoCAD.  Test.  What happens?

Where did you get your copy of AutoCAD 2012?

Has the latest service pack been downloaded and installed?

What OS are you running?

AutoCad from Autodesk. Real paid for down load ,windows 7. All packs loaded.
