Autodesk InfraWorks 360 (i.e., automated 3D model building, cloud technology, and specialized features for road, bridge, and drainage design) helps civil engineers plan and design transportation infrastructure. It allows them to manage larger-scale infrastructure models created from existing data sources, engineer in context from the start and generate proposals at the appropriate level of detail. Project Boulder for InfraWorks 360 was our technology preview that matched the simplicity of two-dimensional (2D) flood simulations together with the immersive 3D models of InfraWorks 360. As a collaborative effort between Autodesk and Hydronia, InfraWorks 360 users had the ability to simulate, visualize, and animate 2D flood events directly in the Autodesk InfraWorks 360 model environment while utilizing the Hydronia RiverFlow2D computation model. The technology preview has ended. Project Boulder for InfraWorks 360 was available until June 30, 2016, at which time the Project Boulder technology preview ceased to operate. Thanks to everyone who participated in the technology preview and provided feedback. The plan is for the technology to graduate to a future version of InfraWorks 360. From these numbers, you can see that participating in technology previews is not a huge commitment. You would be one of about a thousand participants who send a few emails and make a few posts in forums. With this modest amount of effort, you can help shape the future of our technology on which your business depends. Thanks to everyone who participates in our technology previews. Graduation ceremonies are alive in the lab. Go to the original post... |
