Topic: Import Logo Posted: 11.Jul.2016 at 23:28 |
I am trying to import this logo into cad so I can use it in my titleblock and everytime I try it does not come out correct. Is there extra settings I need to adjust?
Thanks in advance |

uploads/175428/CLIMAT_CONTROL_LOGO_01.dwgHello petebmor, why not redrawing the all thing directly on AutoCAD, you should easily find the letters in some text style and the rest is not so complicated and after all I suppose that the logo will be with a little scale in your titelblock enough for it not to be very precisely drawn.
Please find here enclosed a rapid test. I used lines, arcs, polylines, solid hatches. You should use this file ( or yours ) to be inserted and not copy/paste so that you can insert it a new when modified.

You don't say what CAD program and version you're using, nor what "does not come out correct" means, exactly, but assuming AutoCAD in a version that's not recent enough to be able to import PDF images, if you can export/convert it (e.g. in Acrobat) to something like a GIF or TIF or PNG image, and you should be able to bring it into AutoCAD.

Hi,
The best way to do it is as Philippe JOSEPH mentioned, take a couple of hours to draft the logo in acad this will be always the best quality and gives no problems with path refering etc.. Work arround is to create an Ole object bij simply take a high as posible resolution screenshot from your logo. Then paste it in paint to cut it out, then select everything in paint (ctrl A, ctrl C) and paste the logo in word (this wil create a ole object) then again copy (ctrl A, ctrl C) and paste it in your title block. adjust it with scale to the desired size. If you do it this way you wont have problems with external references and paths like e.g. images does. Good Luck Regards, Ron
