Maybe the OP is looking for a lisp to accomplish the task?  Or he has written a lisp routine to accomplish the task and is just teasing us by not sharing it.  Maybe we have to beg for the lisp?

Hello mikemoon and all the others, eventually AutoCAD mechanical do this with the command _amslot2d.

Unfortunately the OP's profile says he is using "tertert" which makes no sense yet he posted in the AutoCAD forum.

If you are not using AutoCAD Mechanical then the lisp I linked to may be the only available option.
