I'm trying to work on a PDF file with Raster Design in AutoCad.  I was able to convert a scanned in pdf file to a tif file by reducing the resolution.  I then inserted it into AutoCad.  I'm able to munipulate the drawing using Raster but when I print the drawing, i get a grayish background.  I've also tried "saving as" a cal file but I still get the grayish background when i print.

Am i missing a step here?  Is there something I can do to the tif image? Or is there a setting that i'm not aware of?  Anyone have experience in working on PDF with AutoCad?
