    Posted: 06.Dec.2016 at 17:31
Hello all,

I'm having a little trouble getting my arctext to explode and extrude properly. Any ideas on how I can properly do this?
I'm running AutoCad Design Suite Ultimate 2016 on Windows 10.
I've done this before with AutoCad 2010 but it seems the process for 2016 might be different.

I want to create a 3d project that has text for pocket/island milling.
The project file will be turned into a .stp (Stepfile) and then turned into G code and
be transferred into Mach3 machining software for CNC routering/milling.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance

Spindly

Try looking for Sean Tessier's TexttoGeometry program.  It used to be available through the AutoDesk Exchange.

Thanks John

I did search for it and unfortunately it is no longer available.
I'll keep digging on this issue as I'm anxious to get started with this project
as it is for a special occasion next summer.

Thanks again for the quick response

Hello spindly and John, I don't know if it will be OK for you but I have create a file : ABCD.dwg with 3D letters and numbers based on the text style : Simplex.
It's available in the CAD/BIM Blocks library here in the site.

I may have a copy of the original .msi file.  If interested let me know.
