Transparency is layer specific isn't it?  The range is 0-90.

For exclude a surface include in an other by 2d bolean you can select the object to exclude and from which other
after if you use the brush the surface exclude is not fill !

Maybe you should have mentioned what program you were working in when you posted your question.  That would have helped.  You list AutoCAD 2013 under your screen name.
