The Autodesk Gallery at One Market in San Francisco celebrates design — the process of taking a great idea and turning it into a reality. With about 60 different exhibits regularly on display that showcase the innovative work of Autodesk customers, the gallery illustrates the role technology plays in great design and engineering.

As one of the Autodesk gallery ambassadors, I was excited when Julia Papapietro McFarland, Manager of Gallery Events and Marketing Programs, asked me to do a tour for some NFL players. As someone who grew up watching football, I wanted to see who I would be conducting a tour for:

  • Dontari Poe

    Dontari Poe plays defensive tackle and is currently a free agent. He played college football for the University of Memphis. He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs 11th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft.

  • Jalen Mills

    Jalen Mills is a cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football for Louisiana State University.

  • La’el Colins

    La'el Collins is a guard for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Louisiana State University where he won the Jacobs Blocking trophy, recognizing Southeastern Conference's top offensive lineman, in 2014.

  • Moise Fokou

    Moise Fokou is a Cameroon-born linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Maryland and Frostburg State. Fokou has also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and New Orleans Saints.

OK, those last four aren't football players, but it was fun to write them up as if they were.

The Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is a guided tour on Wednesdays at 12:30 pm and a self-guided audio tour available anytime. Admission is free. Visit us.
