I am desperate for help with a problem I've been having with AutoCAD (2008) all day...

If I doubleclick on some text to edit, instead of going straight into the edit section, I get the little AutoCAD sqaure asking me to select objects, even though I already had it selected. Similarly, if I have some objects selected, and then click on PROPERTIES, the properties window opens, but the objects that I had selected deselect, and I have to select them again to see their properties. Also, if I have an object selected and the go to EDIT/COPY, again the objects are deselected and AutoCAD asks me to select objects. This was not happening last week! It's making me go mad!! Now my scripts won't work because of this.....

I have checked that my PICKFIRST and PICKADD settings are both set to 1. I have also checked that the options for DOUBLECLICK EDITING and NOUN/VERB SELECTION are ticked.

I hope someone can help me!!

Try going to Options, pick on Selection, make sure that Noun/Verb in options are selected.  Hope this solves your problem...
