Topic: Help identifying this common CAD fontPosted: 10.Mar.2018 at 01:16 |

Hi guys!
I've seen the font on the pdf attached many times, both in technical drawings and in exploded views, but could never get to know where it comes from. Whether of some specific application or being available as a standalone font, can somebody tell me it's name or something about it? I like it's simplicity and would like to adopt it the main font for my drawings. Thanks so much, Eduardo. uploads/769079/Wabeco_Screwcutting_Clutch_Parts_1.pdf Edited by educosta - 10.Mar.2018 at 01:19 |

It could be either ROMANS or SIMPLEX. I think the characters are the same in both, but the character spacing is a little different, and for some reason a left-justified string in ROMANS "starts" slightly to the right from the insertion point, whereas the same in SIMPLEX starts exactly at the insertion point. Here, the upper one is in ROMANS, and the lower one in SIMPLEX, with insertion points vertically aligned [the blue grips]:
