i recently was browsing a site were this question came up. http://www.motorcyclebuilders.net/forum/showthread.php?p=131#post131

it was an interesting question i thought . since i am in to machining parts to bikes, it was interesting to see what software other designers used.

that is why i came up with the idea to post a similar question here.

AutoCad 2006 standard because the Express functions are in.
LDT and Civil 3D for long sections and cross sections (I'm a civil engineer).
 
 
My question is what tools or add-ons are you all using to work more quiqly and good.Wink

I use AutoCAD 2009 at home, but at work I use CADWorX Plant 2007 and Map 2008, simply because that's what my company provides.

I prefer CAD 2009 because the new features make it much more versatile.

Autocad 2009 because it is latest!

 at the moment i use acad 2006 witch i think is acad16 i am thinking of up grading to 2009 i use it for designing model aircraft and laying out parts for cnc router and need to do more 3d stuff

We are using ZwCAD, the best alternative to Autocad with very attractive price.
