I am searching for a lisp routine that manages xref layers without the need to open the xref.  My prior company had a routine in which when executing it and picking an entity within the xref (let's say for example a contour line), it would pull up a dialogue box that would provide varying tools (ie, changing the color, linetype, etc), but most importantly, would allow you to freeze the layer, but more so, going deeper or shallower, depending on whether the xref was an overlay or attached.  Currently, if I freeze a layer in the xref, sometimes it freezes other layers that I want to remain on.  Does this make sense?
