Hi all,

I have a little problem with Autocad 2009. I don't know why, but it won't start anymore. If I click on the .exe, it won't load and it won't start up. So i tried to Repair/Reinstall it, but everytime I try to do that, my pc freezes for like 1 sec. and then suddenly I get a BSOD. The error I get in that blue screen is: stop 0x0000008e. I get this error also when I try to Uninstall AutoCAD 2009. So in short: I can't start Autocad, I can't delete Autocad, I can do nothing.. Confused
The sys I'm working on is Windows Vista.

Can someone give me any suggestions?

Ty Smile

hi,

Have you tried to run Autocad as Administrator? (to do this you need to right click on the .exe and then choose "Run as Administrator". Also to uninstall you should run as administrator.

which version of vista and autocad are you using?

Hi-
We were having the same problem, & found that by running "msconfig" & disabling the "print spooler"(under Services) the problem has gone away.

good luck Smile,
G

Hi... ty for your reply's

migmay:

Im running Autocad 2009 on Windows Vista Ultimate.

G Smith:

I will try to do that as soon as possible. But the only problem is that everything here is dutch, so i don't know what print spooler is... is this a Microsoft-service?

i also have Vista Ultimate but with Architecture Autocad 2009 and the only thing i had to do was install as administrator but maybe you should try to follow G Smith and disable the print spooler:

If you have vista ultimate you can dowload the english language and change it just for this and then you can put it back into dutch.

In the meanwhile i'll try to see if anyone here knows the translation, since i'm in Belgium its probable that someone knows.

that isnt neccesary anymore, i have found the print spooler.. it was the same language. but it doesn't solve my problem. I will try to run as administrator for now then.
