trying to import a site plan into autocad from google earth at a 1:1 scale.
i know you can do this easily into google sketchup.
trying to load a site plan from google earth at 1:1 scale as image then trace around outlines of buildings, roads etc.
can anyone out there tell me best method to achieve this.
i have managed to save image into paint from g.e. then copy paste to autocad, this works but does not come out at 1:1 scale i then have to mess about trying to scale image which is hit and miss.
can anyone give me any advice

First thing is if you have not done it yet is to assign a global coordinate system in your drawing. Once you have done that open google earth and view the location you want. In the file pull down menu go to import then the next pop up will give you a list where you can select google earth image. and it will import the image at both 1:1 scale and in its proper GIS coordinates.  I use this method in Civil 3D 2008.  I hope this helps.
