Hi!

I'm a software/simulation engineer, but I'm not very well versed with Autocad. I have an Autocad layout that I am trying to convert to a simulation model. In order to do this, I need to do the following:

I have the centerline of many devices on a single layer. I need to convert all the lines on the single layer to their own layer.

Re: I need to convert all the lines on the single layer to their own blocks.

There are about 100+ lines in the layout, each of which need to be inserted into their own layer block.

Is there a batch command or method in Autocad to accomplish this task?

Thanks for any help,
~Chipley

We have prepared a tool for the original request. The Ent2Lay utility (see the Download page) will put all selected objects into individual layers.
