Hello Everyone,

I am having a problem with my Object Snap in Acad 2000.

I can go into Drafting settings and check the Object Snap Modes box I want but when I put the curser on the appropriate object it doesn't want to snap to it.
For example I will check the "Intersection" box then say "OK". Then when I go to an Intersection the curser is not picking it up. I have to go to the "Object Snap Toolbar" and select the Intersection. Is there something I'm missing? It has always worked in the past. This is annoying.

Regards,
Dennis

Just a hint as well.
If you have problems snapping to certain points that you dont want to snap to. You can always turn Osnap off quickly by pressing F3. Its a handy thing tool turning Osnap on and off quickly.

Hi Chris,

I Learned about that little F3 button this morning. I think my problems started when my cat walked on my keyboard.  I didn't know that you could turn Object Snap on & Off like that until I was going over all the Object snap settings.

Thanks,
Dennis

You are very welcome Dennis.
F3 is my most used key in AutoCad. I also use F10 a ton! I dont know if you use polar tracking. But when you're rotation or moving objects in free space and dont want any tracking whatsoever, i always turn off polar using F10.
Have a nice day.
