Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there are author details attached to standard DWG files? i.e. if i have copy and pasted parts of an existing drawing produced by someone else in to my own file, will there be a way to find this out? if yes how can i prevent this? Thanks in advance ![]() |

There is no internal IP protection in the individual entities (on the system level) but the author of the drawing may hide some data to protect his/her original work. So there may be a way to find this out.

ok.
basically I am at college and i want to copy and paste the model of a road and footpath from someone else's drawing (one of my classmate's and i have his authorization) into my own drawing but i don't want people to be able too see that this was done and was wondering if it was even possible to find this out.
so as long as he didn't hide anything in the drawing i'm safe?
it's just i've been told that my lecturer could possibly see this electronically when looking at the coordinates in some way
