Hi
I need to copy only elements in one layer to another drawing. How can i do this?

Well 2 way to do this:
   1: To select the elements you need and turn off all other elements select with a a window and wblock the selected elements.
 
   2: if you have another drawing you need these in you can open both drawings and select all the elements you need right mouse click and copy then switch to other drawing you want selected elements in and either paste or paste as block. 
 
Those are the two easiest methods.

Use your filter = FI command > selct  layer > then pick the layer u want - then click add to list -highlight it in the top and hit ok
 
then cross selct the drawing and it will only take the layer u highlighted.
 
This is a very helpful commnad i use eveyday!

here is a simple shortcut technique...

click one object on a layer you want to isolate.
then, type LAYISO enter
this enables you to see only the layer that you picked.
then if you want to turn on all the layers back, just type LAYON

Problem
Now i only copy the layer i selected i cannot copy an entire drawing and i  write LAYON on the Command line
What happened?
(Autocad version10)
