Hi,

I need help in designing a production process.

Basically, I need to design a CAD showing a wire being pulled through a thin hole. In the process of tensile drawing, the wire gets thinner and is being rolled into very thin tubes. Besides that, my CAD drawing needs to show the necessary production equipment and show how the tube gets rolled as it is being pulled out.

Can SolidWorks create that simulation? What program is needed?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

hi
ive found it can be very difficult to produce the simulation in solidworks, you just dont get the flexibility to control the animation. ive the best solution is to produce the model in solidworks, then save the assembly as a vrml. this can then be imported into 3D studio max. you will then have a lot more control over the simulation
