Hola!!

I am now using acad 2010, and when i had 04' there was a simple command for converting single line text to multiline text called 'txt2mtxt'. It now appears to not function in 2010.

So how, in 2010, can i convert single line to multi line text?

It is still there. It is (and was) a part of Express Tools so make sure you have them installed.

I dont know about that, take a look:

Command: TXT2MTXT
Unknown command "TXT2MTXT".  Press F1 for help.
Command: *Cancel*

That's my prompt line after I enter the command. Is there a setting or something I should be changing?

And what about this express tool you speak of? Could i simply add it to one of my flyouts in the CUI?

FYI the program I run is acad mechanical 2010.

Express Tools is an option during AutoCAD installation (as it was in 2004) - you can also add it later through the setup program.

Command: '_help
Command: EXPRESSMENU
Unknown command "EXPRESSMENU".  Press F1 for help.

It appears that express tools were never loaded during installation...

Should I assume that I need the startup disk and need to re-install acad with express tools?

If thats the case, people are not going to like me, they have no concept of customization to streamline prototyping, lol.

Hi,

you dont have to reinstall AutoCAD, just insert the installation disk and install/add the Express Tools only.
