hi
 
 
          well i think thats what its called!!!!!  , i want to have a template that everytime i print or plot a new drawing i am propted to change the text in the title block  ie
 
date , project ,title, drawnby, drawing number , revision, and so on ,i have created a block and a few layouts with viewports in and boxed off separate  sections for the text but is driving me nuts now can anyone help ??????please CryCryCry

You can e.g. Redefine the PLOT command to insert (or modify) a block containing the required attributes. This will need a LISP routine.

"LISt Processing" .
So in our case we use a dialect of LISP called: AutoLISP .
For more help navigate on google about AutoLISP programms and how we use them.

Hi
 
Ive placed an a1 sheet on the cad blocks wich has attributes attached
use the command attedit to edit the text
 
not quite what you are looking for

autolisp is the text command entry for old-head CAD users. These days there are icons for everything. I saw go with what Vladimir said and just create a block. Here we use blocks for everything.
