Does anyone know Autodesk's policy on upgrading from a 2008 Autocad perpetual student version to 2010 CAD LT?  or would it be possible or cheaper to upgrade to 2009 version?  I also heard that they are not offering a perpetual version for 2010.  Instead, they offer a 5 year license.   The Autodesk website does not explain the policies and fees.  Their educational retailer, Journey Ed is merely an order taker. They don't have information on the direction or current policy of Autodesk.  Your insight would be appreciated.
