Topic: problem with spline Posted: 26.Sep.2009 at 13:26 |
dear friends,
I'm having real problem while filleting the spline with a simple st line........... it's not happenning.....and in the other hand when I am filleting/joining two opposite facing semi circle still it's not working......
Is it due to my fault or it's not allowed by Auto CAD?
I can send my faulty cad file (.dwg)
Even I have the screen shot image.....but how can I attach?
I think those things can make you sure what I am talking about.....
I'm in fix...plz reply....

Fillet of splines not allowed by AutoCAD
you can convert splines to polylines, then pedit, fillet, etc.
One way to convert them is with the "flatten" (Express Tools) command.
Don't know why you can't fillet between semi-circles, are they "arc" objects? What does AutoCAD report when you try to fillet or join them?

You need appload the file SPL2PL.VLX from dotsoft.com.
SPL2PL.VLX - This is a free tool from dotsoft.com. After you download it, drag and drop the .VLX file into the AutoCAD editor, then run the command SPL2PL. This tool will create a POLYLINE or LWPOLYLINE depending on the setting of the system variable PLINETYPE

As I mentioned, you can also do it using the command "flatten".

I'm new to this forum-so I looked at options for replying. All I see is the option to attach images, and images must first be posted at a hosting/public website. Maybe there is a description under "forum rules"..?
You should be able to join semi-circles by moving one so endpoints connect, convert to polylines with "pedit", then "join". Filleting may be a problem depending on fillet radius and where you select the arcs.
